5 Indians confirmed dead in NZ mosque shootings

Two days after the horrific New Zealand mosque shootings, the high commission has confirmed that five Indians including a woman, have been killed in the attack. The deceased were identified as Maheboob Khokhar, Ramiz Vora, Asif Vora, Ansi Alibava and Ozair Kadir.

"With a very heavy heart we share the news of loss of precious lives of our 5 nationals in ghastly terror attack in #Christchurch," tweeted the high commission.

According to Indian High Commission's data, around 200,000 Indian and Indian-origin people live in New Zealand and over 30,000 of them are students.

New Zealand witnessed the deadliest terrorist attack in its history when more than 50 people have been killed and at least 20 injured in shootings at two mosques in Christchurch area on Friday.
