7 detained in connection with Pulwama attack

Seven persons have been detained by Jammu and Kashmir Police in connection with the deadly terror attack on Thursday, where 44 CRPF jawans were martyred. The J&K police informed that seven persons have been detained, on suspicion of links with the planning of the suicide attack, from different parts of Pulwama district on Friday.

Meanwhile, a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited the spot of the incident on Friday evening and collected materials required for a forensic evaluation.

Notably, the Pakistan based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had claimed responsibility for the attack and the suicide bomber has been identified as Adil Ahmad of Kakapora area in Pulwama, who joined the organisation in 2018.
