Amid Tensions, Indian Army Hands Over Lost Animals To China

Pratidin Bureau

In stark contrast to the ruthlessness of the Chinese PLA which abducted 5 youths from Arunachal Pradesh just a couple of days ago, the Indian Army, in a human gesture, handed over few animals that had strayed over to the Indian side of the LAC from China on August 31.

The Indian Army handed over 13 Yaks and four Calves to its Chinese counterpart on September 7.

This was tweeted by the Eastern Command of the Indian Army.

The development comes even as the Indo-China border situation along the LAC in Eastern Ladakh grows tense.

The Indian Army, in a similar gesture, had recently rescued a few stranded Chinese persons in North Sikkim and even guided them back to their destinations.
