History has been created at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range after Apurvi Chandela broke the world record on Saturday to win the gold medal in women's 10m air rifle event at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in New Delhi.

The 26-year-old Indian shooter set a new world record by registering a score of 252.9 points in the final. Zhao Ruozhu and Xu Hong, both from China, finished second and third with 251.8 points and 230.4 points respectively.
