Arun Jaitley’s Health Deteriorates

Former Finance Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley's health condition has deteriorated, as reported by PTI on Saturday.

Jaitley isbeing treated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he wasadmitted since August 9 after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness.

However,AIIMS has not issues any bulletin on his health condition since August 10.

The former minister is reportedly on life support, with a multidisciplinary team of doctors monitoring his condition.

He was undergoing dialysis on Friday after which his health deteriorated.

Bihar DeputyChief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on August 19 said that Jaitley was criticalbut he was responding. Prior to this, Union Health Minister Harsh VARDHAN ON August16 said that doctors at AIIMS were doing their best.

Modi andVardhan are among a string of leaders who have visited Jaitley in hospitalearlier this week including BJP veteran leader L K Advani, Uttarakhand ChiefMinister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patet amongothers.

Moreover, President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also visited AIIMS to enquire about Jaitley's health condition.
