Ayodhya station to be remodelled on Ram Mandir

The Ayodhya railway station is being revamped and will be remodelled on the Ram temple and the first phase of the new station will be completed by June 2021.

Meanwhile, the construction of the temple is also expected to be completed by 2023-24.

Divisional Railway Manager Sanjay Tripathi said to IANS, continuous efforts are being made to provide a new look to the station while modernising it. An approval of Rs 80 crore was issued for the new station building but the amount has now been increased to Rs 104.77 crore.

The construction will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the development work on platform number 1 to 3 will be done along with the developing the circulating and holding area. In the second phase, a new station building will be constructed and other logistic facilities for the passengers will be developed.
