B.COM. Tops DU Admission Seekers List

B.Com seems to be gaining popularity among the students seeking admissions at Delhi University this academic session, with Zakir Husain College receiving the highest enrolling the maximum students in the subject.

Datashared by the university shows that so far 49,971 admissions have taken placetill now and the number of cancellations stands at 8,348. The number ofwithdrawals is 1,234.

Among the admitted, at least 5,252students have opted B.Com, 4,897 for B.Com (Honours) and 4,204 students haveapplied for BA (Honours) Political Science.

Thetwo other popular courses among the students are BA (Honours) History and BA (Honours)Hindi which have seen 2,683 and 2,279 enrolments, respectively. The admissionsfor BA (Honours) Political Science for the unreserved category were closed atmany colleges after the first and second cut-off lists were announced.

Accordingto data, Zakir Husain College saw the maximum admissions at 1,611, closelyfollowed by Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College at 1,580 and Kirori Mal College at1,476. Dyal Singh and Mata Sundri College saw 1,470 and 1,431 admissions,respectively.

Thefourth cut-off list will be released on July 14.
