BrahMos Air Launched Missile Successfully Test Fired

TheIndian Air Force on Wednesday (May 22, 2019), successfully test-fired theBrahMos air version missile from Su-30 MKI fighter jet.

Thelaunch was smooth and the missile followed the desired trajectory before it hitthe land target.

BrahMosis a 2.5-ton supersonic air to surface cruise missile with ranges of close to300 km. The missile is designed by BAPL.

Itmay be mentioned here that the IAF on November 22, 2017, became the first AirForce in the world to have successfully fired an air-launched 2.8 Mach surfaceattack missile of this category on a sea target. Wednesday's test was thesecond such live launch of the missile.
