Budget a key step towards ‘New India’: Modi

Praising Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's maiden budget,Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it was a key step towards 'New India'.

PM Modi said that this budget will act as a roadmap in order to transform the agriculture sector of India. He also added that the budget is one of hope and will boost country's development.

While delivering the first budget speech in Parliament onFriday, Sitharaman said that the Indian economy has added one trillion dollarin the last five years due to the various initiatives and reforms undertaken bythe government, and is poised to grow to be a 3 trillion dollar economy in thecurrent year.
