C(A)A Role: Assam natives protest in Mumbai

Mumbai has also come in the wake of the protests over theCitizenship Amendment Act. A large number of people from Assam and the NorthEast State demonstrated at the Azad Maidan today.

Actress Deepanita Sharma was also present in this performance. A large number of police personnel were also present at the Azad Maidan because of the knowledge of the demonstration beforehand. Those opposing said that the Assamese identity is one with about 200 tribes and 33 dialects, but this bill could eliminate this identity.

The protesters said that the BJP government is taking such steps to take away the rights of the people of Assam to take the vote bank.
