CBI interrogates Chidambaram in INX Media case

Pratidin Bureau

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday questioned former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in relation to the INX Media money laundering case.

CBI had summoned Chidambaram last month to appear before it today.

He was questioned in connection with alleged irregularities in clearance of foreign investment in INX media. He was called last month for the questioning but sought another date to comply with the CBI notice.

Chidambaram's alleged role has come under the scanner of investigating agencies in connection with the Foreign Investment Promotion Board clearance of Rs 305 crore given to INX media during the UPA rule.
