Floor Test Should be Videographed, No Secret Ballot: SC

The Supreme Court onTuesday directed the Maharashtra government to conduct the floor test onWednesday at 5 pm. The floor test should be videographed and there will be nosecret ballot, the court said.

The court furthersaid that the Pro tem speaker will administer oath to MLAs.

The MLAs will take oath tomorrow by 5 pm following which the floor test will be conducted. The pro tem speaker will have to be appointed immediately by the Governor, says Supreme Court.

After the top court'sorder, Prithviraj Chavan said that the honourable court has accepted theirprayer. The MLAs will be administered the oath beginning 11 am on Wednesday andthe floor test will take place at 5 pm.
