Former Delhi CM Madan Lal Khurana passes away

Former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana passed away, at the age of 82, in New Delhi on Saturday after a prolonged illness.

The mortal remains of the BJP leader  will be brought from his residence to Delhi BJP office at Pant Marg, where people will pay their last tributes. The last rites will be held on Sunday.

Taking to social media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief. In a tweet, Modi said, he worked tirelessly for the progress of Delhi, particularly towards ensuring better infrastructure. The Prime Minister said, the departed leader will always be remembered for the manner in which he strengthened the BJP in Delhi.

BJP President Amit Shah said, Mr Khurana had to his credit the task of building up the BJP organisation and he was more known as the Lion of Delhi.
