Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee no more

Former India Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi today.

He was 93 years old.

The two times prime minister was admitted at AIIMS on June 11 with kidney tract infection, chest congestion, urinary tract infection and low urine output, indicating impaired kidney functions.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee have been admitted for the last nine weeks at AIIMS. Unfortunately, his condition worsened over the last 24 hours as AIIMS officials declared his condition critical.

He was put on full life support yesterday evening when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah visited AIIMS to inquire about his condition.

Vajpayee's mortal remains will be taken to his Krishna Menon Marg home shortly.
