Ghaziabad: 16 Staff of CBI Training Academy Test COVID-19 +

16 persons in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Training Academy at Ghaziabad have tested positive for COVID-19, informed T Rajah Balaji, Superintendent of Police of the Academy.

The SP informed that a test was conducted in the academy on July 9 after a stenographer was tested positive for the virus. After he was reported to be infected with the virus, a team of officials from the Ghaziabad District Hospital COVID-19 Medical Surveillance unit conducted the tests for more than 180 staffs out of which 16 have been tested positive.

The patients have been identified as Rahul Kumar (35), Harbhan Singh (47), Sushant Kumar (41), Amit Kumar (45), Mahesh Chand Yadav (48), Naresh Kumar Sharma (36), Pushpa Puri (45), Tejpal Singh (50), Rajender Singh (51), Anand Kumar (35), Vijender Sharma (54), Saumauriya (40), Deepak (45), Mintu Devi (33), Dharmendra Paswan Dharma (41) and Anmol Yadav (15).

It has been informed that out of the sixteen people, only three reported of known COVID-19 symptoms with mild fever and the others are asymptomatic.

According to a statement issued by the academy, it said that the academy would continue to maintain interface with the District Hospital Authorities for monitoring the situation on the ground with all the COVID-19 patients, their families, and others with contact history in accordance with the SOPs devised by the COVID-19 medical surveillance unit in Ghaziabad.
