India placed at 6th position among wealthiest countries in the world

According to a latest report by the AfrAsia Bank Global Wealth Migration Review, India has grabbed the position of sixth wealthiest country in the world with a total wealth of USD 8,230 billion.

With a total wealth of USD 62,584 billion, the United States of America is the wealthiest country in the world. China with a total wealth of USD 24,803 billion is at the second place while Japan with USD 19,522 billion worth of total wealth is at the third place, the report revealed.

Other nations in the list of top 10 wealthiest countries include the UK (USD 9,919 billion), Germany (USD 9,660 billion), India (USD 8,230 billion), Australia (USD 6,142 billion), Canada (USD 6,393 billion), France (USD 6,649 billion) and Italy (USD 4,276 billion).

While calculating the total wealth of a nation, reviewers exclude government funds from the figures and only consider private wealth held by all the individuals living in the country. Larger countries with higher population like USA, China, and India has a advantage over others in the calculation of the total wealth.
