Journalist Prashant Kanojia granted bail

The journalist Prashant Kanojia, who had been arrested for allegedly posting objectionable content against the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media, has been granted bail by the Supreme Court on Tuesday

A bench, comprising of Justices Indira Banerjee and Ajay Rastogi, while granting bail to the journalist said, that the Right to Liberty is a fundamental right and is non-negotiable.

However, the bench added that the SC granting bail does not mean that it approves of the tweets or posts made by the journalist on social media.
