Mamata Banerjee-PM Modi Likely to Meet Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to hold a one-on-one meeting on Wednesday at the national capital.

According to sources, the meeting is likely to discuss administrative and developmental matters vis-a-vis the state of West Bengal.

Banerjee, on Tuesday, said that she would raise the issue of renaming of West Bengal as Paschim Banga among other issues.

Incidentally,the meeting would come at a time when the Saradha chit fund probe case hastaken an interesting turn with the scanner falling on a number of TrinamoolCongress leaders and onetime Mamata's trusted aide and former Kolkata policecommissioner Rajeev Kumar.

However, sources from Trinamool said that no significant political subject may be discussed as the structure of the meeting has been prepared on administrative issues.

TheBarrackpore Sessions Judge Court on Tuesday said that the anticipatory bailapplication of Rajeev Kumar moved by his advocates was not maintainable.However, Kumar remains untraceable, according to CBI.

Meanwhile, the last meeting between Modi and Mamata had taken place on May 2018.
