Manmohan Singh To File Nomination for RS

FormerPrime Minister and Senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh will file nominationfor the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan on August 13.

TheRajya Sabha seat from Rajasthan has been lying vacant after the death of StateBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Madan Lal Saini. Saini was elected tothe Rajya Sabha last year when the BJP was in power in the state.

Now,the Congress party is in majority in the legislative assembly.

Priorto this, Singh represented Assam in the Rajya Sabha for 28 years before histenure ended earlier this year.

Former Prime Ministerand senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh will file nomination for the RajyaSabha from Rajasthan.
