While the engineering entrance exam JEE-Mains is scheduled from July 18-23, the medical entrance exam NEET is to be held on July 26. Meanwhile, even Indian School Certificate Examinations (CICSE) will be giving its decision on the pending examination of standard XII.

The SC will be hearing the petitions. The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the CBSE and the Central government, said, "The decision-making process by MHRD is at an advance stage and would be finalised by Thursday".

In addition, with regards to CICSE examinations the Bombay High Court will defer its hearing after CICSE said it will follow the CBSE decision conveyed to the Supreme Court.
