Militants killed, police martyred in J&K

Three terrorists were killed and a police personnel was martyred during encounter between security forces and terrorists in Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday.

The policeman killed was identified as Kamal belonging to Reasi district of Jammu region.

Imitiyaz Ismail Parray, SSP, said, "Three terrorists have been eliminated and one Jammu and Kashmir police personnel have lost his life."

Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were also injured.

The identity of the slain militants was yet to be established, a police officer said.

All schools and colleges in the area have been closed as a precautionary measure. Mobile Internet services have also been suspended.
