Modi celebrates Rakshabandhan with his Pakistani-origin sister

Onthe occasion of Rakshabandhan, Qamar Mohsin Shaikh, a Pakistani national,visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on Thursday and tied a rakhion his wrist. According to Qamar Mohsin Shaikh the tradition of tying rakhibegan more than two decades ago when Modi was an RSS worker.

"I pray that the next five years go so well for him that the whole world recognizes the positive decisions he made," Qamar Mohsin Shaikh was quoted as saying by ANI after meeting the PM. She also gifted a painting to PM, which was made by her husband.

PraisingPM Modi for criminalising the practice of instant 'Triple Talaq', she said, "Hehas done a very good job in interests of Muslim women".
