In an attempt to control the spread of coronavirus in the state, the Nagaland government has extended the ongoing lockdown till June 18.
The lockdown was previously clamped till June 11.
"The High Power Committee after thorough discussion with all the District Task Forces has decided to extend the lockdown till June 18 with further relaxations. Respective DTFs will issue necessary orders for relaxations as per the situation in the districts," Nagaland government spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon tweeted.
The first complete lockdown was imposed on May 14 up to May 21. It was extended till May 31 and then to May 11.
As of June 8, the active caseload of the state is 23,184. The Covid related fatalities are 435.
