Pakistan's high commissioner appointed in India has been called back called back for consultations in the after the Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF jawans on Thursday.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal tweeted, "We have called back our high commissioner in India for consultations."

"He left New Delhi this morning," Dr Faisal added.

Since the Pulwama attack the tensions between the two neighboring countries have increased and the Indian government  he Indian government has been fanning the anti-Pakistan rhetoric.

Indian government has blamed blamed Pakistan for the attack, however, Islamabad maintained that the baseless Indian allegations and aggressive rhetoric were counterproductive and a threat to regional peace.

It is to be mentioned that India has withdrawn the ' Most Favored Nation' (MFN) status given to Pakistan in trade services in 1996 after the Pulwama terrorist attack
