PM Modi reaches Bhutan for two-day visit

PrimeMinister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning reached Bhutan for a two-day visit. Hisvisit aims to strengthen bilateral ties with the nation in various sectors.

Duringhis visit, the Prime Minister will hold delegation-level talks with hiscounterpart and meet the Leader of Opposition. He will inaugurate 720 megawattMangdechhu hydro-power project and release a commemorative stamp to mark the 50years of Indo-Bhutan hydropower relations.

Apartfrom these, PM Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the Ground Station for SouthAsian Satellite and launch the first phase of RuPay Card. The PM will also addressthe students of Royal University of Bhutan. During his visit to the Himalayannation, India and Bhutan will sign several MoUs including in the sectors of science,technology, engineering, maths and judicial.

It maybe mentioned here that this is Prime Minister Modi's second visit to Bhutan andhis first since his re-election as Prime Minister.
