PM Modi To Address IIT, Ghy Convocation Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati through video-conferencing on Tuesday. In all,1,803 students including 687 B.Tech. and 637 M.Tech. students will be conferred degrees.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre, and other dignitaries will participate in the event. To celebrate the graduate's accomplishments online through virtual mode, the institute has created a virtual reality-based award distribution where one can experience an Avatar of the recipient of the award collecting a medal.
