The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will hold public hearings in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case from today in The Hague in Netherlands. India and Pakistan will present their arguments before the top UN court during four days of public hearings.

India will argue first today and  Harish Salve will represent the country in the case. For Pakistan, Khawar Qureshi will make submissions from Islamabad's side tomorrow.

Kulbhushan Jadhav  was  charges of espionage and terrorism and sentenced to death in April 2017 by a Pakistani military court.  India moved the ICJ in May the same year against the "farcical trial" by the military court of Pakistan against 48-year-old retired Indian Navy officer Jadhav.

The ICJ has set a timetable for the public hearing in the high-profile case from February 18 to 21 in The Hague.

It is expected that the ICJ's decision may be delivered by the summer of 2019.
