Rajat Sharma resigns as DDCA president

Seniorjournalist Rajat Sharma resigned from the post of president of Delhi &Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) on Saturday. After resignation, Sharmaexpressed that it was not easy for him to work with the association amidstvarious pulls and pressures.

"Itwas not easy to work here. But your faith gave me strength. Today I havedecided to leave the post of DDCA President and have sent my resignation toApex Council. Thank you for the love and respect you have given me: RajatSharma," he tweeted.

Sharmahad nearly 17-month tenure as the president of DDCA. He had joined the cricketadministration after receiving backing from former Finance Minister late ArunJaitley. The senior journalist had managed to earn 54.40 percent votes in hisfavour.
