Samajwadi leader shot dead in Aligarh

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Rakesh Yadav was allegedly shotdead in Aligarh's Harduaganj during the late hours of Tuesday.

According to reports, Rakesh Yadav, the 45 years Samajwadi Party's Barauli district president, was returning home when he was shot dead. Some unknown assailants shot him in front of his house and managed to escape.

The crowd gathered at the spot after they heard firing noise.

Sources revealed that a case under 302 (murder) of theIndian Penal Code has been filed and the matter is under investigation. Thereason for the murder is yet to be ascertained.

The SP leader Rakesh Yadav use to run a building materialshop on Budhansi road. He also used to do property dealing in the town andarea.
