SC to hear Congress-SS-NCP plea tomorrow 11:30 am

After the Congress, ShivSena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Saturday moved the SupremeCourt for an urgent hearing on their plea against Maharashtra Governor BhagatSingh Koshyari, the apex court has agreed to hear the plea at 11:30 am onSunday.

The three parties hadmoved the SC against the "arbitrary and malafide actions/decisions" of Koshyariinviting Devendra Fadnavis to form the government on November 23. They alsoalleged that the oath-taking ceremony was illegal and sought quashing ofMaharashtra Governor's decision to swear-in BJP's Devendra Fadnavis as ChiefMinister of the State.

They further demanded animmediate floor test to avoid further horse-trading. "We have asked for anurgent floor test. The law demands a floor test. On Sunday at 11:30 am, theSupreme Court will hear the matter. We hope that democracy and law will win,"said Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.

Meanwhile, NCP said thatit has the support of 50 MLAs. Only 4 MLAs, including Ajit Pawar, are not withSharad Pawar. When asked about 17 missing MLAs, NCP clarified that they are intouch with the party.
