Security Forces not to launch operations in Jammu and Kashmir during Ramzan: Rajnath Singh

The government of India on Wednesday has asked the security forces not to launch operations in Jammu and Kashmir during the holy month of Ramzan.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh through twitter said, the decision is a step towards helping peace loving Muslims observe Ramzan in a peaceful environment.

The Home Minister conveyed the Centre's decision to the Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir. He said, security forces will reserve the right to retaliate if attacked or if essential to protect the lives of innocent people.

Singh also added that the Government expects everyone to cooperate in the initiative and help the Muslim brothers and sisters to observe Ramzan peacefully and without any difficulties.
