Shatrughan Sinha To Join Congress on April 6

Pratidin Bureau

After the denial of BJP ticket, Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha will join Congress on April 6. Sinha on Thursday met Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.

Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil tweeted that the rebel BJP MP will join Congress on April 6 "in national interest".

Earlier, BJP denied Sinha the party ticket from Patna Sahib because of his constant criticism of Prime Minister Modi and fielded Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad from the constituency.

"He is younger to me, but today he is a popular leader of the country. I am a supporter of the Nehru-Gandhi family. I consider them nation builders," said two-term BJP MP Sinha.
