Telangana Hydroelectric Plant Fire: 6 Bodies Recovered

Bodies of 6 men who were trapped inside the hydroelectric plant in Telangana which had caught fire last night have been recovered by rescue officials today.

These six were among the 9 people who went missing after the the fire at unit one of the under tunnel power house of the Srisailam hydroelectric plant.

PTI quoted Nagarkurnool Collector L Sharma as saying, "Two of the bodies are of Assistant Engineers."

Meanwhile CISF personnel have joined the rescue operations led by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has already ordered a CBI probe into the unfortunate incident. CM of Andhra Pradesh, the state bordering Telangana, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has also promised all possible assistance in the rescue operations.
