Truck mauls marriage procession in Rajasthan

In an ill-fated accident in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh area, as many as 13 people were killed and 18 others suffered severe injuries after a truck mowed down a wedding possession late on Monday night.

The accident occurred at Pratapgarh-Jaipur Highway in Ambawali village of the district, around 417 kilometres from state capital Jaipur.

As per reports, people were walking on the side of the road as part of "bindoli," a marriage procession, when the accident took place, according to family sources.

The injured were rushed to a government hospital in Choti Sadri and later on 15 of them, who were critically hurt, were referred to a facilities in Udaipur.
