Two buildings in Greater Noida collapse, three bodies recovered

Two buildings in Greater Noida's Shah Beri village, that were under-construction, had collapsed on Tuesday night.

Soon after the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the happening and directed the District Magistrate to guide the relief operations with the National Disaster Response Force team and Police.

As of Wednesday morning, three bodies have been recovered and many more are suspected to be trapped under the rubble. "We have recovered three bodies. Their identity is still unknown. Three of them were either working as security guards or as labours," said Meerut Inspector General Ram Kumar.

Three people have also reportedly been arrested in connection to the incident which includes a builder and his two associates.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has taken note of the situation and assured that the government is with kin of the victims and that the District administration is closely working with the relief teams.
