Two jets collide at Aero India, pilot dead

In a shocking incident, two jets of the Indian Air Force's Suryakiran Aerobatic Team came crashing down after they collided at Bengaluru's Aero India show.

One of the three pilots have reportedly died. The two others, who ejected safely, have been injured. One civilian is also reportedly injured in the incident.

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who is in Bengaluru, is rushed to the Yelahanka airbase. However Sitarama refrained from speaking much to media persons regarding the incident. She said, " I am aware", when asked about the incident.

The 12th edition of the air show will showcase latest technologies and products by global aerospace majors. The show is to be held from February 20- 24, 2019.
