Suspected child abductors thrashed by a Mob in Gujarat

Pratidin Bureau

In a shocking incident, two men had been thrashed by a mob, in suspicion of being child abductors, at Okha town in Gujarat's Dwarka district.

Reportedly, a few days ago an audio clip had been making rounds on WhatsApp, informing people about a gang of 300 child-lifters being active in the area.

Inspector General DN Patel informed that in the video of the assault, a mob is allegedly seen attacking the two men who look like beggars.

"An investigation in the matter is underway," said Assistant Superintendent of Police, Prashant Sumbe in a media statement.

On June 08, a similar incident took place in Assam's Karbi Anglong district, when two men had been brutally attacked by a mob on suspicion of being child abductors.
