Two teens drown in Yamuna current

Two youths of Panipat in Haryana were swept away by the current in the Yamuna River in Shamli district but according to the police official, one of them was rescued near a bridge on Wednesday.

Adil(16) and Sameer (17), of Panipat in Haryana, were having a bath in the river in Kairana town in the district on Tuesday evening when the incident happened and they were the visitors of Shamli, the official added.

Police managed to save Adil who was swept away by river current to a bridge, but Sameer has been missing. An investigation is underway for him.
