FIFA World Cup 2018 | Sweden and England book last berths in quarterfinals

With Sweden and England's win, the line up for the quarterfinals has been finalised. In the final two Round of Sixteen matches of the FIFA World Cup 2018, on Tuesday, Sweden beat Switzerland 1-0 at Saint Petersburg while England defeated Colombia in a dramatic penalty shoot-out in Moscow.

Sweden entered the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 1994 which was only successful after a deflected goal from Emil Forsberg that allowed the side to clinch a 1-0 win over Switzerland.

England overcame Colombia 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out after the match finished 1-1 following extra time at the Spartak Stadium.  This was England's first penalty shootout win at a World Cup.

Colombia's Jordan Henderson missed his penalty shot while Eric Dier netted the decisive spot-kick as England reached the quarter-finals for the first time since 2006.

England will now face Sweden in the quarterfinals on July 7.
