Asia Cup – India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets

Defending champions India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in their first Super-Four match at Dubai last night in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018

Opting to bowl, India restricted Bangladesh for 173 in 49.1 overs, with spinner Ravindra Jadeja, who replaced injured Hardik Pandya, bagging the maximum of 4 wickets. Pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah took 3 each.

India scored the target in just 37 overs and 7 wickets in hand with courtesy captain Rohit Sharma hitting a brilliant knock of 83* .

Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni also made valuable contributions in the run chase.  Jadeja was adjudged man of the match.

India will play Pakistan on Sunday in their second Super-Four match.
