MS Dhoni Turns 38

Pratidin Bureau

Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni aka MS Dhoni aka Mahi turned 38 on Sunday.

Since the mid of 2018 or maybe even earlier, there have been several discussions regarding Dhoni's form and lack of intent on the field.

Critics, time and again, have been saying that Dhoni has lost touch of a finisher and that he should hang his boots and pave way for Rishabh Pant.

Even though Dhoni may have past heydays as a finisher but his presence in the Indian side is still worth of gold.

He is the most experienced player in India's World Cup squad, is still considered to be an integral part of the Virat Kohli-led side. And there are valid reasons for that.

When it comes to wicket-keeping, there is hardly anyone better going around in world cricket at the moment.

Even in India's last match against Sri Lanka, Dhoni accounted for four dismissals and currently holds the record for the most number of stumpings in List A.

On his birthday, let's just have a glimpse of his records over the years…

Most ODI Runs as Captain

Best ODI average as Captain

Most Not Out in ODI

Most 50+ Runs in ODI

There is every chance that MS Dhoni may hang his boots after the World Cup and India's last WC match might be Mahi's last international match as well.

Dhoni, over the years, has given the cricket fans across the world a lot to cheer. On his birthday, let's wish him the very best in life!
