Rajinder Singh elected President of Hockey India

Hockey India on May 19 announced Rajinder Singh as its new President.He was earlier the treasurer of Hockey India and was currently serving as the treasurer of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir.

He was given charge as President after former President Mariamma Koshy stepped down from the post. Koshy had been involved in hockey administration for over two decades in various capacities .

Secretary General of Hockey India Mohd. Mushtaque Ahmad said "We are grateful for Koshy's services. She has been a guiding light for the federation and also a big source of inspiration to many players and administrators alike. We wish her the best in her future endeavors."

Ahmad also conveyed happiness over the appointment of Rajinder Singh as the new President. "We wish Rajinder Singh the best in this new role" he added.
