Test jerseys to have players’ names and numbers

For the first time in Test cricket history, Ashes jerseys will have players' names and numbers on their backs. The other two formats – ODI and T20I jerseys have already had personalisation on their backs for a long time. But Test matches had to wait for this change.

The Australianand English players will be seen playing the 71st Ashes series, which isscheduled to begin on August 1, with names and jersey numbers on their Test t-shirts.

England posted an image of skipper Joe Root in his whites with his usual number 66 on the reverse on Twitter. "Names and numbers on the back of Test shirts," the caption read.
