Reportedly, Samsung phone users have been dealing with a bug that sends pictures stored on the device to random contacts via SMS.

With Gizmodo being the first to report such instance, the bug seems to be mostly affecting the owners of models like Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. However, it is not restricted to these devices alone.

The pictures are erroneously being sent to random contacts through Samsung's default texting app on Galaxy devices 'Samsung Messages'. Moreover, the app doesn't even inform users when the file has been sent.

"We are aware of the reports regarding this matter and our technical teams are looking into it. Concerned customers are encouraged to contact us directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG," said Samsung in a statement.

Meanwhile, the users can either revoke access to files for the faulty app, or use another texting app like Android Messages.
