Donald Trump Tests Negative of COVID-19 for 2nd Time

US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced thathe has taken his second coronavirus test at the White House since the outbreakbegan and it was again found to be negative.

Trump in a news conference said, "I just took itthis morning. It said the president tested negative for COVID-19."

This was Trump's second test. This time he used anew rapid method that he said took a minute to complete and barely 15 minutesto return a result.

Trump said that he took it out of curiosity to seehow quickly it worked. It is a lot easier. "I have done them both. The secondone is much more pleasant," said Trump.

The first test of Trump, done in mid-March, used amore invasive method, with results coming only hours later.

Trump had previously resisted getting tested, aswell as arguing initially that coronavirus is no worse than the regular flu anddid not require a massive shutdown of the economy.

Since then, Trump has declared himself a"wartime president" and is overseeing a massive ramping up of testingcapabilities.

The first test of Trump was taken after he came intocontact with several members of a Brazilian presidential delegation visitinghis Florida resort who later tested positive for the virus.
