Trump signs order to protect American statues

President of USA, Donald Trump signed an executive order to save the monuments, memorials and statues of the country from acts of vandalism. Taking to twitter, he wrote that he signed a very strong executive order to save the said tangible objects and combat criminal violence. He also mentioned about long prison terms for the people involved in such vandalism.

POTUS wrote, "I just had the privilege of signing a very strong Executive Order protecting American Monuments, Memorials, and Statues – and combatting recent Criminal Violence. Long prison terms for these lawless acts against our Great Country."

The USA has been on boil since the custodial death of George Floyd – a black American – at the hands of a White policeman. Movements like 'Black Lives Matter' have taken the country by storm. Scores of people have also used the movement to bring down the tangible symbols representing slavery and colonialism. Recently, several statues of the legendary explorer – Christopher Columbus – were desecrated across different parts of the country.
