5 killed in shooting inside newspaper office in Maryland, US

At least five people were reported killed and several others injured in a shootout at the Capital Gazette building in Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday.

The suspect in the shooting has been identified as one Jarrod Warren Ramos. He was reportedly in a dispute with the newspaper and had filed a defamation suit against them, but the case was dismissed.

The suspect has been detained by the Police. According to law enforcement sources, Ramos had mutilated his fingers to avoid being identified but was recognised using facial-recognition softwares.

US President Donald Trump, in a tweet, said that his thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
