Singapore names orchid after Indian PM Modi to commemorate his visit

To commemorate Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the National Orchid Garden of Singapore, an orchid was named after him on Saturday.

The orchid, located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, was named as 'Dendrobrium Narendra Modi'.

It may be mentioned here that the garden is the only tropical garden to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The orchid was also displayed behind the head table during the banquet lunch hosted by Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong for PM Modi.
