New Hospital in West Karbi Anglong Turns Into Haunted Dump

A newly constructed hospital building in Zirikindeng, West Karbi Anglong, has shockingly turned into what locals describe as a "haunted house and garbage dump". Despite the completion of construction and even a formal inauguration, the facility has remained abandoned for a prolonged period.

The building, envisioned to improve healthcare access and ease the burden on the old hospital, now lies in ruins due to alleged negligence and indifference by the concerned authorities. Instead of being operational, the new hospital remains locked and covered in wild overgrowth, forcing doctors to continue treating patients in the dilapidated old structure.

According to local sources, the new facility was meant to provide better services to both patients and the public. However, in the absence of basic necessities, no ambulance service, no clean drinking water supply, and no active management, the building has never been put to use.

Locals have expressed outrage over the waste of public resources and demanded immediate intervention to activate the hospital for the benefit of the people in the region.
