Delhi CM’s Residence to Shine with ₹60 Lakh High-End Renovation
In a significant development, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s official residence is set to undergo a major revamp with an estimated cost of ₹60 lakh. The Public Works Department (PWD) floated a tender on June 28, outlining the first phase of renovation work, with a special emphasis on upgrading the building's electrical infrastructure.
As per the tender document, the renovation is expected to be completed within 60 days. The proposed work includes installation of 14 new air conditioners, 10 LED flood lights, three large chandeliers, ambient wall lighting, and an electric fireplace. Additionally, the plan features the setup of 23 energy-efficient ceiling fans, 16 wall-mounted fans, and 24 air conditioners.
Out of the total budget, ₹11.11 lakh has been earmarked solely for the procurement and installation of air conditioners.
PWD has scheduled the opening of bids for July 4. Meanwhile, the department also plans to issue a separate tender for renovation and additional construction work at the camp office located near the CM’s official bungalow.
This comes as part of a broader infrastructure enhancement plan for official residences in the capital.
